Sorry for replying to such an old comment, but I was curious as to whether you know where one could acquire? the koshirae for high-end katana like this one that are sold without fittings? I'd like to enter this market sometime in the distant future (when I can afford it), but I would be reluctant to, for example, buy a tsuka from some guy on a forum or something. Just seems like trouble. Any info you might have would be appreciated :)

You seem incredibly offended. I was being honest nothing more. Yet, I never claimed art is meaningless, the world would be sorely deprived if we didn't have art. That being said, you attributed sword-making to the grand likes of Van Gough, Dali, and Da Vinci. Is that really wise? Art is subjective, thus what is considered to be an art form is also interpretative to each person.? It's unbecoming to put words in people's mouth my good sir.
